Where do floods occur most often?Edit
Floods can occur anywhere where rain is falling too fast for the ground to soak it up. Also, floods can happen when a storm hits a coast and water seeps inland.

- The Great Flood of 1993 was also on the Mississippi. The surrounding states were affected. 50 people were killed.
- Many of the flash floods in Colorado were deadly.
- Floods also struck Galveston in 1900. This resulted in a death toll of over 6,000.
