You are peacefully strolling toward a nice copse of woodland area in the Big Bend National park. Then something catches your eye. Suddenly a wave of fire comes streaming at you at amazing speed! You are one of the victims of a wildfire. Sadly, many of these are caused by camper's own carelessness.
What is a wildfire?Edit
A wildfire is an uncontrolled fire in an area of flammable vegetation or wilderness.
Variables that can affect wildfire development; wildfire prediction Edit
Wildfires cannot be predicted. They happen completely by accident or surprise. A wildfire can be started if a camper simply drops a burning match on the forest floor. Maybe a campfire isn't fully put out. Most forest fires, however, are a result of lightning hitting trees.
